Accidents at work are still relatively common whether from cuts and bruises to fatalities. We have experience in dealing with the regulatory agencies involved from HSE and Trading Standards to our client’s insurers. We can offer immediate local investigation, report commissioning and clear practical advice.
Should you be unfortunate enough to be prosecuted as a result of a breach of health and safety law we are on hand to help and advise. We shall be on hand to help with all written correspondence with HSE and attend with you at any interviews conducted by HSE.
Fatal Accident Enquiries
We can represent your interest at an FAI whether as an individual, a relative pf the deceased or their employer. An FAI is a distinctively Scottish procedure inquiry into the circumstances surrounding and cause of death, giving all parties with an interest the opportunity to understand what happened, hearing informed opinions and making recommendations to try and prevent a similar tragedy occurring again.
We have represented clients following a death at work, in care or in unusual circumstances. All FAI’s result from tragic circumstances. To protect your interests or those of others we always seek to be involved as early as possible after the fatality.
In the event there are civil proceedings following the FAI we are well placed to assess and advise on any liability for loss arising.
